InventorCAM's 3D Milling can be used both for prismatic parts and for 3D models. InventorCAM analyzes the model and automatically detects flat and vertical areas. The 3D Milling module has a complete set of roughing and finishing strategies. In roughing it supports, in addition to regular roughing, torochoidal and plunge roughing. For finishing it supports a set of 7 finishing strategies. Constant-Z finishing can be applied both to steep areas and horizontal areas in one operation.
The InventorCAM 3D Milling module has integrated rest material handling capability. The working area can be defined using selected boundaries, selected surfaces and defined surface angle ranges. The tool location on the working area can be external, internal, middle or tangential. Check surfaces can also be defined by the user.
